Upon reviewing the shots from the 1st production day, which would contain most of the opening section of the music video, I realized how unsatisfied I was with the outcome. For example, the shot that was supposed to cover the first verse of the song (a medium long shot zoomed into a medium close-up from a high angle) was done with a lack of professional equipment for such a complicated vision; therefore, it came out too shaky to be fixed with effects in Post-production (speaking from last year’s experience😓). Furthermore, the artist's face kept drifting off-center, which went against my initial idea and ultimately led me to remove this shot entirely. As I continued reviewing the footage, a growing sense of unease settled in. I still tried to make it work by putting the sequence together to see if what I had was good enough to move forward. However, I ended up not liking this version.
The third production day also didn't go as planned. Security at the Metro Station continuously interrupted us, preventing us from recording several lip-syncing sequences required for the storyboard - we mostly got shots of the actress acting as a character of the narrative. From the points above, I finally decided to add another day of production at a new location, one that I had considered before but scratched at that time due to the difficulty of traveling to the setting: nature, trees, and grassland.
When I first thought of a natural setting, I thought of actual forests, or areas and lands of the city that have yet to be exploited for urbanisation, and by that I mean places that are considerably far from the city.
